Managing off-site staff
Today’s technology enables instantaneous communication to most places in the world, distance, therefore, is no longer a barrier to organisational activities. Frontline managers, team leaders or supervisors therefore, can be responsible for a variety of work teams, those who are located in the office or company environment and those who work remotely from home, a satellite office or even interstate or overseas.
Assessment texts and tasks reflect those typically found in the workplace. Advice and support is available if requested. Culturally appropriate processes and techniques suited to the language, literacy and numeracy capacity of individuals and the work being performed must be used. Reasonable adjustments can be made to ensure equity in assessment for people with disabilities.
